Empty plot adjacent to building also sealed. A building in Karachi was sealed by the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) after it being vacated due to a three-inch tilt to the right. Residents of the building claimed that their building must have tilted to one side as a result of the adjacent vacant plot being severely waterlogged. The three-story building on Khayaban-e-Shamsheer in DHA Phase V reportedly leaned to one side before being sealed, according to DHA spokesman Colonel Kashif. Chancellor of Iqra University Hunaid Lakhani passes away — Iqra University   Educationist and politician Hunaid Lakhani passed away on Thursday from dengue fever at a hospital in Karachi, according to a report by Geo News. He was the founder and chancellor of Iqra University.  Lakhani was being treated for dengue virus at a hospital in Karachi but was unable to recover, sources in his family said. Following news of Lakhani's untimely death, a number of academics and politicians, including Pakistan's president expressed condolences. Lakhani remained affiliated with the PTI and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P). He and PTI MNA Alamgir Khan also founded the FIXIT organisation. IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah's remarks came during a hearing against the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority's (PEMRA) order prohibiting television channels from airing Khan's speeches live. At the last hearing, the IHC CJ had suspended the order till September 5 and observed that the regulatory authority "does not have the authority" to issue such orders. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department's latest weather forecast, Karachi is again expected to receive light drizzle and weather will remain partly cloudy over the next 24 hours. A minimum temperature of 27°C was recorded in Karachi Monday, while the maximum temperature is expected to be between 31°C and 33°C. The humidity ratio was recorded at 81%, while winds from the southwest were blowing at 16km/h, according to the PMD.
