TANK: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday said that the collective efforts by federal and provincial governments and departments were necessary to ensure the early rehabilitation of people affected by flash floods and torrential rains. The premier, during his visit to the flood-affected region of Tank in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa , lauded the efforts of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and provincial disaster management authorities for striving to rescue and relieve the affected population. He spoke highly of the work done by the NHA in Balochistan and in K-P for the rehabilitation of the flood-ravaged road infrastructure. “Financial compensation is nothing [compared to the loss of lives] but it will help them live through the challenges of life.
