IHC reserves verdict on plea against dismissal of Shahbaz Gill's physical remand

Islamabad Advocate-General Jahangir Jadoon, on August 13, had moved the IHC seeking its order to declare the decision taken by the district and sessions court null and void while extending the physical remand of Shahbaz Gill, a close aide of PTI Chairperson Imran Khan. ECP’s verdict proves Imran Khan ‘biggest thief’: Khaqan Abbasi

The ECP, in its unanimous verdict today, said it has found that the PTI received prohibited funding from foreign nationals and companies. Berating the PTI in his hard-hitting press conference following the judgment, Khaqan Abbasi said that Imran Khan received funding worth Rs1.5 billion illegally. Those who gave funds to Imran Khan include Indian and Israeli citizens, he added. The UK paper revealed that the PTI received funding from Wootton Cricket Club of Abraaj founder Arif Naqvi which was generated through a charity match and an Arab personality. The FT report provided ammunition to the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and they demanded an early announcement of the verdict which was reserved on June 21. ECP officials told Daly Jang  , on the condition of anonymity, that the Election Commission will announce the foreign funding verdict during the first week of August.
